In times of war or even political upheaval, the importance of prepping cannot be overstated.

While the word “prepping” may evoke images of extreme measures, it essentially embodies a fundamental human instinct — the instinct to survive and protect what we hold dear.

In the face of conflict and adversity preparedness is not only crucial, but often a matter of life and death.

Prepping is so important during times of uncertainty, and the practical steps you can take to ensure the safety and security of you and your loved ones is of the utmost importance.

Before we talk about the two current wars and the HUGE threat of America being attacked on home soil, let’s look at the current state of the union — which is looking more and more like a state of disillusion.

The current state of this great country — how bad things have gotten, and how they are predicted to go beyond the wayside.

Make no mistake, America is already under attack . . .

Open borders and the destruction of cities dominate the news cycle.

The defunding of police and cashless bail laws have empowered criminals with opportunity to thrive in an environment where they don’t face consequences for breaking the law.

We live in a day where mobs of “people” can simply storm a retail store and take whatever merchandise they want — all while the security guard is ordered to sit back and watch.

What if you happened to be in that store? Are you prepared?

We will touch on that later . . .

Never did I think I would see the day when multiple cities have been so overrun by illegal immigrants, homeless drug abusers, prostitutes, and criminals that law-abiding citizens would be forced to leave.

Forced to move from their homes out of fear for their families . . .

It is mind-blowing how fast this country has changed from a global powerhouse to a nation of destruction — the result of weak leadership that’s producing a new generation of namby-pamby, unpatriotic, entitled idiots.

With the current state of our country already being a very serious cause for concern, are we ready for war?

Are we prepared for the issues we currently face, with multiple wars overseas involving our allies?

In my opinion, as a nation, we are not.

And the reality of our country’s current state and the wars abroad are about to collide.

I am predicting everything is going to change drastically, and it’s going to happen very soon.

That is why it is time to take individual action now.

The Possible

By definition, ‘prepping’ — short for preparedness — is the practice of planning in advance to mitigate the potential risks and disasters that may arise.”

After reading the definition, why wouldn’t everyone “prepare”?

Think about how you prepare for so many other circumstances in your life.

We plan our weekly schedules, make dinner plans, plan what to wear in case of weather. We plan our commute to avoid traffic, plan vacations for certain times, plan for retirement, etc.

So, why aren’t more people planning for an event — the probability of which grows more by the day — that could impact their life forever? The day of “It won’t happen to me” no longer exists.

These events are happening everywhere.

We build structure in every area of our lives, so why not be prepared for the UNKNOWN — the events that can make a huge impact on our lives and family?

Let’s look at some examples of common events that require you to plan for in advance.

Natural Disasters

Hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, wildfires, tsunamis, etc.

One thing we have seen over recent years is how these natural disasters are no longer attached to your geographic location. For the most part, you can be negatively affected by any natural disaster, anywhere in the world.

Severe Weather Events

Winter storms and extreme cold, heat waves, droughts, etc.

These may seem like simple, everyday events. However, take another look.

How would you handle them without electricity or water . . . possibly for days . . . or even weeks?

Economic Uncertainty

Job loss or financial crisis, hyperinflation, stock market crashes, etc.

This can happen to anyone, at any time. The hardest part about economic uncertainty is the increase of desperation and how that affects your decision-making.

Desperate times create desperate people, and those people can act irrationally.

Health Crisis

Pandemic or epidemic, local disease outbreaks, etc.

It is crazy to think that, just two years ago, this example of a reason to live a prepared lifestyle would have been borderline laughable.

How we were affected by a pandemic overnight is a perfect example of why you need to be prepared.

Did you run out of toilet paper?

Power Outages

Grid failures, EMP attacks, local breakdowns, etc.

We all know the feeling that comes when you are sitting there and the lights turn off.

In most cases the power comes back on within minutes, and yet we still begin to panic.

I ask you, what if the power didn’t come back on? What if you had to spend 30 days without power?

It may sound crazy, but this is not far-fetched. Our electrical systems are being overloaded and, in some cases, have fallen under attack.

Civil Unrest and Political Instability

Riots, protests, terrorism, etc.

We have seen all of these, worldwide, in 2023 alone.

Protests that turn into riots that go uncondemned.

Cities burning, war against the police, a weak president, cultural divide.

All of these are on your front doorstep.

Cyberattacks

Hacking, data breaches, identity theft, etc.

There is a reason computer virus blocker software is a billion-dollar industry.

(Note: Billions are still stolen electronically annually every year by hackers.)

And with the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), attacks like these will only get easier for hackers and harder for those affected to trace.

Food and Water Shortages

Supply chain disruptions, contamination, hoarding, etc.

Just look at the first months of COVID-19 — that’s what these look like. Going to the store and seeing empty shelves.

Neighbors no longer sharing. Hoarding toilet paper for fear of the shelves staying empty.

Environmental Hazards

Chemical spills, nuclear incidents, etc.

No one may expect this; however, chemicals are being transported all around us every day.

Just talk to the families in Ohio, where a train derailment spilled 23,000 gallons of vinyl chloride and infected the water source for thousands and thousands of people.

This single instance will affect that community — whether residents stay or not — for decades to come.

Personal Safety Concerns

Home invasion, kidnapping, assault, robbery, etc.

This is critical: You must be able to protect yourself and your family.

There are some messed-up people in the world. And, as of late, actions no longer have consequences.

People are becoming bolder than ever.

Don’t be a victim!

War and Conflict

Local or regional conflicts, global conflicts, war, etc.

This is simply our new reality, and it’s only going to get worse. It is time to prepare.

This is simply our new reality, and it’s only going to get worse. It is time to prepare.

Infrastructure Failures

Bridge collapses, dam failures, gas leaks, road closures, etc.

You may not currently be experiencing this, depending on your geographical location, but this is spreading across the U.S. Makes you wonder where all of those infrastructure taxes are really going.

Technological Failures

GPS system disruptions, communication network failures, satellite failure, etc.

What if you can’t make a phone call or pull up directions? No service, no internet, no communications. How will you get in touch with your family or call for help?

These are just some of the main events that can greatly and immediately change you and your family’s lives forever.

When prepping for the unknown, the best way to get started is to not focus on one single possible event, but look at the overall picture.

Many of these events can be prepared for with a single action.

Being prepared for emergencies or disasters doesn’t mean hoarding supplies or living in constant fear.

Proper prepping involves striking a balance between preparedness and normal daily life, ensuring that you have the necessary resources to face unexpected challenges without disrupting your overall lifestyle.

You’ll want to focus on acquiring supplies and equipment that will help you and your family be self-reliant and prepared for various emergency situations.

The Why

By being the one prepared for the unknown, you inherently become the leader during times of need.

Being a “prepper” doesn’t mean you are paranoid and hoard canned food in the pantry.

Or walk around wearing a tin foil hat.

It is actually the exact opposite of being paranoid.

You are preparing to be the leader and provider for others who didn’t think ahead.

The responsibility has been put on your shoulders to be there for family, friends, and community.

Planning ahead for the unknown makes you a resource others can lean on.

Your family will take comfort in knowing that you will be there to take care of them — no matter what happens.

It is no small feat that you could save a loved one’s life just by being the smallest bit prepared in a life-threatening situation.

A simple first-aid kit or tourniquet can mean the difference between sharing your life with a loved one or planning their funeral.

Make no mistake, that is the harsh reality. Life is that fragile.

The Perfect Storm

Let’s put it this way: If there was ever a time to think about how you could be better prepared for the unknown, this is it.

We have what I call a perfect storm for issues to erupt at any time.

The wars may be abroad, but there is tension in the streets.

We are living during a crazy time.

All you have to do is turn on the news or read the paper.

When the news crosses that 90% negative threshold, it is time to open your eyes and be ready for what can happen.

Let’s break it down:

  • Multiple wars
  • Civil unrest
  • Cities overrun with crime
  • High inflation
  • Elevated costs of goods (creates desperate people)
  • War on energy
  • Petitions and protests
  • Cashless bail
  • Open borders
  • Police defunded
  • A lying government

I can go on and on, but frankly? I could have stopped at multiple wars.

It is time to take action. A few small changes and just a little effort can help protect you and your family.

These small changes can be the difference between life and death.

That may sound dramatic.

But no one ever thinks it’s going to happen to them.

It’s like the old saying: “No one was ever disappointed they had a gun when they needed it.”
